For many people, choosing a pair of eyeglasses isn't a simple task. After all, you'll want to choose a shape that flatters your face, a color that looks good on you, and a pair that matches your personality. Sometimes it isn't easy to find one pair of glasses that has all three of those attributes. However, if you take some time to learn what type of features you should be looking for, the process is a lot easier.
Choose the Right Frame Size and Shape
The fact is, not all frame shapes flatter every face shape. So you need to take the shape of your face into consideration when you're looking for the perfect pair of glasses. A good general rule of thumb to follow is to choose glasses in a shape that contrasts with the shape of your face. For example, if you have square-shaped face, you should stay away from rectangle and square frames because they will make the angles of your face appear harsher than they are.
Also, you need to make sure the size of the frames you choose is in scale with your face. Eyeglasses with frames smaller than the width of your face make your face look fatter than it is and frames that are too wide make your eyes appear close set. To make sure the frames that you choose are the right size for your face, make sure your eyes are as close to centered in the width of the lenses as possible.
Choose the Right Frame Color
When you're trying to choose a frame color, you need to consider your skin tone, as well as the color of your hair and eyes. The first thing you need to consider is the color of your hair and your complexion. Everyone's complexion falls into one of two color bases -- cool or warm. If your skin has pinkish undertones, you have a cool complexion, and if your skin has yellow or peachy undertones, you have a warm complexion. In addition to determining if warm or cool colors work best on you, you also need to determine whether you have a light or dark complexion. In most cases, people who tan easily without burning have dark complexions and those who burn easily and rarely tan have light complexions.
In addition to your hair and complexion colors, you need to take the color of your eyes into consideration.
Ultimately, the perfect pair of eyeglasses for you is the pair that makes you feel confident. Just make sure you choose the right shape, size, and color for you, and you'll find the perfect pair in no time. Check out retailers like Spectacle Shoppe, Inc. to get started.

After watching my mother navigate treatment for breast cancer in my early teens, I knew pretty much what to expect from my dad's diagnosis with prostate cancer. What I didn't know was how different chemotherapy and radiation can affect different people. My mother became very ill while my dad seemed to weather the treatments with few ill effects. I spent a long time researching the differences in treatments, types of chemotherapy, and how each one can react differently with the body. I created this blog to help others understand the same things, because I knew I couldn't be the only one unfamiliar with it. I hope it helps you if someone you love is facing treatment for any type of cancer.
